What to take to what camp
 
Full Uniform worn to all camps
 
The following is a guide. Based on the weather, you may want to pack extra.

Spring / Fall / Winter Camping Equipment List

 

 

Worn:    

Toque or warm hat,

Mittens with a leather shell preferred,

Winter jacket, the longer the better,

Sweater or polar fleece,

Shirt and T-shirt,

Long pants, NO jeans,

Long underwear,

Socks, (wool preferred but not a nylon material)

Winter Boots or Mukluks, not running shoes

Full Scout Uniform

 

Packed

Sleeping Bag, Good one

Fleece liner or extra blanket.

Sleeping pad and ground sheet (or small tarp)

1 extra pair of long pants

1 extra pair of long underwear

1 extra t-shirt

Sweater (wool is best) or polar fleece

Wind or splash pants, (to be worn over pants, for use outdoors in deep snow),

Running shoes, (for use indoors in the evening)

Extra toque or hat

Extra mittens

Pajamas or sweat suit

2 extra pair of socks (wool preferred)

 

Toiletries:

Tooth brush and toothpaste, Soap and face cloth, Towel, Comb,

 

Miscellaneous Item

Flashlight complete with batteries,

Sunglasses

Kleenex or handkerchief,

Eating utensils, cup, plate and bowl, (not styrofoam),

Permission slips and cost of food

Compass

Medication (ensure that the scout leader/counsellor is made aware of the requirement)

 

Not to be Taken

Knives, axes or saws, (other than a small pocket knife)

Walkmans or Gamebovs.

Summer / Jamboree Camping Equipment List

 

 

Worn:    

Floppy hat

Scout Uniform worn to camp.

Sneakers / hikers

 

Packed:

Sleeping Bag,

Sleeping pad and ground sheet (or small tarp)

Extra T-shirts

Sweater (wool is best) or polar fleece,

Shorts

Jacket

Rain Gear

Wind or splash pants, (to be worn over pants, for use outdoors)

Running shoes, (for use indoors in the evening),

Pajamas or sweat suit,

Extra socks

 

Toiletries:

Tooth brush and toothpaste, Soap and face cloth, Towel, Comb,
